Update 7th September

The restaurant now fully open with social distancing, so room service for meals is no longer offered.

Update 7th July

We are delighted to be open and looking forward to welcoming all of our customers back to Castlemead.

  • Our team are fully trained and Covid aware
  • We have introduced enhanced sanitising and cleaning regimes
  • Provided hand sanitising points in all public areas
  • Provided social distancing floor markings and reminders
  • Reduced Hotel capacity in line with Welsh Government guidelines and put all Covid Risk Assessments in place

What We Are Asking of You

  • A copy of our Welcome Letter will be emailed to all guests at the point of booking and receive a copy on arrival, detailing all safety measures that have been put in place
  • On arrival you will be asked to confirm your contact details of all guests (including a valid telephone number) and to declare that all guests are not showing any COVID-19 symptoms as part of the Welsh Government Test, Track and Trace system
  • At check out we will ask you to confirm that you have not experienced COVID-19 symptoms during your stay
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided on entering and leaving the building
  • Public toilet facilities within the Hotel are not in use at the present time due to Government legislation
  • All room keys should be kept with the guest at all times and only returned to reception upon departure
  • If you feel unwell please follow NHS 111 Covid advice and inform our Reception
  • You will need to return home immediately if you feel unwell and notify us when you arrive home
  • Always observe social distancing protocols in all areas of the Hotel, especially in narrow corridors
  • Upon departure your room key is to be deposited into a box at Reception & payment for any outstanding Bill should be settled the evening before departure by card only
  • If clean towels or refreshments are required please fill in the form provided and hand into reception
  • Please note that Government Legislation is changing on a regular basis and your booking requirements, may have to be amended in line with such directives, however, a member of the reception team will contact you before your arrival date if this is the case
  • We want you to enjoy your experience at Castlemead. As such rooms are offered on a self catering basis, with full room service for breakfast and evening meals. Our team will advise you on arrival of protocols for receiving room service
  • We want you to explore & fall in love with Pembrokeshire & all it has to offer, there are fantastic places to discover, explore & enjoy in the Pembrokeshire area, we can recommend a few & the visit Pembrokeshire webpage has lots more information

Update July 2020

As of the 20th of July, our bedrooms will be bookable, Breakfast & evening meals can be served in the bedrooms or garden. Dinner booking is essential.

Here at Castlemead the whole team are looking forward to welcoming our regular guests back and to meeting new ones. We are now accepting bookings going forward and will, as we have done throughout, refund or transfer any deposits paid, if it is not possible because of the virus to travel.

We are working hard to ensure we are Covid Compliant, introducing all necessary measures to ensure both your and our safety.

Depending on how the guidelines change over the next few weeks our styles of service/ facilities available may change. We shall be providing Hand Sanitiser in each room, for you to take home with you. We may not be servicing the rooms, but clean towels, courtesy tray top ups will be delivered daily bagged outside your room. We shall be removing all cushions, top coverings etc and thoroughly airing and disinfecting rooms between use.

With regards to dining, pre orders will probably be required, wherever possible we shall enable in room dining if necessary, and alfresco meals in our lovely garden will be available, weather permitting.

But, the one thing of which we can assure you is that the quality of our food and the warmth of our welcome, will not change, so please book with confidence and we hope to see you all soon.
