“Needless to say, it was perfect and we entrusted all food responsibility into the safe hands of Lorna and Alice. From that moment we knew that using local people, local food, in a local venue was a celebration of everything we value and enjoy.

We can give nothing but praise for the quality of service we received when making the arrangements and on the actual day.    The food was well presented and enjoyed by all the guests.   That the staff managed to keep the meals hot to the point of delivery in the castle grounds was amazing.  It was delivered promptly to each table by staff who were very pleasant and helpful.   Nothing was too much trouble. It felt like the food was delivered with love to ensure the day was special.  Castlemead worked very closely with the venue, the marquee team and the bar service staff to ensure that all we had to do on the day was absorb the atmospherics and enjoy every second.   Castlemead self-help coffee/tea service into the late evening that was well received by the older guests.

We cannot thank Alice and Lorna enough for the love they put into presenting the food and we felt that the success of the event was as important to them as it was to us.”

“There’s nothing but huge praise and much thanks we can heap on Lorna and her team for making our wedding day so special.

Planning for a wedding at a location so far from home (Yorkshire) was a daunting task but having the recommendation to consider Lorna and her team for catering was a gem of advice. Lorna’s experience, guidance, knowledge of local contacts (marquees, flowers etc), attention to detail, care and calming nature put us at ease and took the stress out of our planning, making the experience a joy.

From the Pimms and Peroni reception to the wedding breakfast and evening buffet there was nothing that could be faulted. The menus catering to dietary preferences (and the children) were amazing and the food was outstanding on all counts. Our guests especially appreciated Lorna’s little touch of including proper Yorkshire puddings, a bit of home from home for all.

The day went without any issues, it was the best day ever and it wouldn’t have been as memorable had it not been for Lorna and her amazing team.  We’re eternally grateful and always look forward to our return visits and anniversary dinners at Castlemead.”

“We used Castlemead to cater for wedding & to be honest they were the glue that made the whole day stick together.

We don’t live locally & it was quite daunting thing to organise a wedding so far from where we live, but Lorna & the team held our hand through all of it, nothing was ever a stress or panic.

It goes without saying that the food was incredible, one of our best bits of planning the wedding was coming to Manorbier for a tasting session at Castlemead, I think I ate a whole cheeseboard!

We chose Welsh Lamb in the end, our guests raved about it. The team at Castlemead are passionate about food, since our wedding we’ve been back to stay a few times with extended family to catch up with lorna & to eat in the wonderful restaurant again.
